Meet Dan Cranford from Peoria, Illinois.

I've been an America Fan for many years. I also turned my wife on to them big time!!!!! She now has a collection of guitar picks from each Dewey and Gerry.

The first concert I attended was in Rapid City, South Dakota but I can't recall if it was in 1977 or 1978. Being that is was way back in the decadent 70s and I did not bother saving the ticket stub I would like to hear from anyone who was at that show to set me straight on the year and whether Dan Peek was still in the band or not.

I have seen the group 5 times from 1977 - 2000, and planning to see them again next Friday June 16, 2000 at Burlington, Iowa. Can't wait to get the box set due out soon.

16 November 2006 Update

Steve, I just found out the date of my first America show. It was on March 1st, 1978. I could never remember the date myself but in this bio I posed the question and today I got an email from a fan who was at that same show and must have seen the bio. Thanks for your efforts on the America Fans site. Had it not been for your site I would never have gotten this piece of info from my long ago past.
