Stephen Andrew Bagnetto

Meet Stephen Andrew Bagnetto from Binghamton, New York.

To all my American Fellow fans. It is a great honor to be apart of the America legacy. I have been a fan of the group for many years. America the group I heard for the first time while riding in my dad's van when I was about 12 years old. My first song I heard was Tin man. At that time I never really knew the group. But the music caught my attention. It was great.

I don't remember what year it was but I went to the New York State Fair Grounds in Syracuse New York to hear them play. It was a great concert. I even made my dad stay for the later show.

In July of 99 I got a chance to see my idols again at Big Flats NY at The Budweiser Summer Sound Stage. That night the Atlantic Rhythm Section opened up for the main act, "America".

The crowed was loud and the fellow America fans after the shows I remember hear them say: that's been their best one ever. Gerry Beckley, Dan Peek, Dewey Bunnell, thank you so much for the great music over the last 30 years. Dan even though you may have left the group, your America song you wrote, one of your best, "Don't Cross The River," will make you stand out as one of the best song writers of all time. I hope you guys will make it to Binghamton, New York sometime in the future. I sure would be there.

My Favorite songs are Call Of The Wild, Sister Golden Hair, Lonely People, And Ports Of Call.

I am 19 years old and in the US Navy aboard the USS Austin (LPD-4)E-4 MM3. I just got back from a MED Cruise. My favorite Port of Call was returning to the greatest country of all America.

Me and my girl's (Stacy M. Benedict) song is I Need You. She always requests that song to be played on the radio, when I am home from the Navy.

I just want to thank the group for all their great music over the last 30 years. They always had songs with meaning; filled with clean harmony. You are a great talent and I hope you continue to write more music. As America always said Happy Easter, Happy New Year that, thank you very much guys we love you.

Well America please write me back and other fellow America fans.

Sincerely, America # 1 fan
