Curtis Phillips

Meet Curtis Phillips from Niceville, Florida.

I was in the Air Force in Galena, Alaska (a remote site) when America stopped by for a USO concert. With so small a base and an audience to match, I (and others) were able to party the night away with all of them after their concert. As I play the guitar (not real well), I had a guitar sheet music book of all America songs with me in the barracks. Dewey, Gary and the rest signed the "Horse With No Name" sheet music (which I still cherish and keep under wraps). Dewey drew a picture of a desert scene at the top of the page (awesome). He also told me how he came to write "Horse With No Name" over a few beers! Something I will never forget. I'm sure he remembers it too!
