Ken Mesa

Meet Ken Mesa from Asan, Guam.

I live on the beautiful Island of Guam. I first heard of "AMERICA" when I lived in San Diego, California. I was 16 at the time and still going to high school. When the "AMERICA" album debuted, I bought the 45 of "A Horse with No Name". I had a small portable record player that I carried around and every chance I got I would play the song over and over again. I finally bought the album and fell in love with "Three Roses". In those days The Vietnam era was still going strong and everyone was in to simpler things. I didn't drive then and couldn't afford a car. I would walk the 3 miles to my home from school playing my record player like kids nowadays play their boombox. I first saw my first "AMERICA" Concert on Guam in 1996. While they were playing their set I was singing along and remembering the old days...

I shall remain a dedicted fan...
