Meet Nancy Holtz from Hastings, Pennsylvania.

Hi Everyone! :) A special friend, that I found on the internet, who is also a big fan of AMERICA'S music told me about this site around 21 months ago. Let me start out by saying that I am so happy to have found this site! It is so nice to know that there are so many other People all around the world that have the same feelings about AMERICA'S music as I do and have had for the last 30 years. It is nice to have a place where I can go to and post my feelings about this great group and feel so comfortable doing this. Thanks Steve L for all that you have done to make this America's Fans Page, such a special site!

I was just 14 years old when I first heard A Horse with NO Name on the radio and I liked this song so much that I went out and bought the 45 of it, I played it over and over again front and back. There was something about this song that just held me spellbound making me want more music of this group AMERICA. With money I earned babysitting I went out and bought the AMERICA album, and soon found myself listening over and over to these songs, Three Roses was instantly a favorite. I proceeded to buy each and every LP that followed. I treasure each and every one of them. What I have always liked about their music is the versatility of it, take the simplicity of Head and Heart & I Need You to the lighthearted Tin Man & Muskrat Love to the mystery of Hat Trick & My Dear, to the get down & rocking with Sandman & Company, and the mystic and charm of their instrumental pieces Amber Cascades and Hideaway parts 1 & 2 . Last but not least the wealth of the hidden gems ~~~ Garden of Peace, Moment to Moment, Young Moon, Rainbow song, You Girl, Old Man Took, Seasons, Midnight, To Each His Own, Sergeant Darkness, Kiss of Life and I could name so many more. I just have to mention that I think that their music has aged over the years like fine wine and in some cases sound better now than they did before. Each of their songs touch me deep inside with their words etching themselves in my inner most memory banks. If asked what is my favorite song or songs of theirs, this would be very hard, they all are Soooo good and I find a one of a kind uniqueness in all of them. Their music definitely has been a part of my everyday life. I have been lucky enough to see them 2 times in concert now. Each time was just like hearing them for the first time, I found myself singing along with each of these great song's and after it was over, I was walking on air, filled with such a contentment and joy inside. Both of these times are treasured keepsakes for sure! I may not have seen them in concert as many times as some of the other AMERICA Fans, but if given the opportunity to see them once a week I would never grow tired of seeing them or hearing their music.

My Love for their music is very much a part of who I am I have found a soul mate in this great group for Life. Their music has been there in good times and bad times. From an uncertain teenager to a Housewife/Mother, I find such solace in each one of their songs. America has been a part of my life longer than I have known my Husband, I love the fact that He & my children have grown to love their music too. Wow! Another generation of AMERICA fans! I watch my 2 yr old niece and you should hear her sing Head & Heart soooo cute. :) She also is growing with AMERICA songs playing at her Aunt Nancy's house, what better way to spend the day than singing and dancing with my little niece and for her to look up and say America music Aunt Nancy I like! :) I was so glad to find both Hourglass & Human Nature CD's all great songs, and I hope there is many more to come, their music is the best and is still alive and going strong.

Having their music in my life has brought many riches. 1st a real appreciation for the finer music. 2nd fun and lots of special memories, and 3rd last but not least, some really special friendships have come my way because of my love for this great Group, lifetime friendships for sure ~~ Sooo Nice! Thank You Gerry & Dewey from the bottom of my heart! One more thing if I ever do get the chance to see you in concert again, I will be there and this time I will talk to You both and maybe if I am lucky even get a picture with you. I will not Freeze this time I Promise Myself This!

Feel free to send your comments or questions to Nancy.
