Thomás Bañuelos

Meet Thomas Bañuelos from Tecamachalco, Puebla, Mexico.

We are a great family: my wife Rebeca, my son Alonso (6), my daughter Brenda (4), and me. When I was 12 in '78, I heard for the first time an America album (Hideaway) and since then, I keep an ear with this group. Last August, I found out that America would be performing a concert in Mexico City, so immediately I ordered three tickets. Last Friday the 12th will be forever in my memory not only for being able to see - after almost 22 years - what I thought I never would (America live). But my little boy was with us attending the concert. It was his first time he could attend a rock concert and what better way than to see America. I recognize that he was a lot exited for about 40 minutes, and in the last part he was a little asleep, but not enough to get up in the encore of "A horse with no name". Unfortunately they didn't play his favorite ones ("All around" and "Old man took"), but at least he had a great experience. Only if someday Gerry and Dewey could know about this, just to say "Thanks for all the great and good moments that they gave us, for their time to bring back old memories and for giving a happy time to Thomás, Rebeca, and Alonso (sadly Brenda is too small to attend.

Feel free to send your comments or questions to Thomás.
