Guess the Halloween Songs

Our friend, Tim Lawson, got bored one Saturday about this time last year and spent the day creating a Halloween music collage. It is snippets of pop songs from the 60's, 70's and 80's (with a few TV theme songs). The songs all have a Halloweenish "things that go bump in the night," mystic, magical, ghoulish, neurotic kind of themes (yes, there is an America song).

There were 39 brief song segments in the audio file that he created. There were 4 TV theme songs, 3 well known album tracks and the rest are all Top 40 hits from the 60's, 70's and 80's (OK 2 are from the late 50's).

This was a fun Halloween contest, trying to guess the songs and the artists (there was no need to guess the artists of the TV theme show snippets). The answers are at the bottom of this page.
